The end cap follows the post it hangs on: gold ends for gold and black posts, silver ends for polished chrome. The same nine gold-end colours hang on black.

Why choose the black post
Black is the recessive post. It disappears into a dark floor or a dressed set and leaves the rope colour — and whatever you have branded behind it — to carry the look. Choose it when the crowd control should be invisible and the branding should not.
That makes it the default for brand activations, film and TV, conferences and festivals, where the lane has to exist without becoming part of the photograph. A matte finish also swallows fingerprints and handling marks in a way no polished surface manages, which counts on a multi-day build.
Black carries the identical nine gold-end colours as gold, so the palette decision stays entirely with the rope rather than being forced by the post. It photographs cleanly under mixed lighting, with none of the hotspots a polished column throws back at a lens.
